The Warren County Veteran’s Service Office employs service officers who can assist the veteran or his/her dependent in filing for the following VA benefits:
Service-connected compensations
Non Service-connected disability pension
Survivor’s pension
Death and burial benefits
VA health care enrollment
Headstones
Education
Home loan guarantee certificates
Vocational rehabilitation
Upgrading or correcting DD214
Any other benefits available from federal or state source. The service officer will monitor claims once they are filed and will follow through with assistance on appeals when necessary
Justin Smith

Justin was born and raised in Maineville and now resides in Lebanon with his beautiful wife and son. Shortly after graduating from Little Miami High School in 2004, he enlisted in the United States Navy, where he spent the next 5 years as an Aviation Electronics Technician stationed aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71). His Grandfather, a WWII sailor, was his inspiration for serving. In 2014, Justin joined the team at the Warren County Veterans’ Service office as a driver. Now an accredited Veteran Service Officer, Justin will gladly tell anyone he has the best job in the world, helping Veterans and their dependents obtain the benefits they earned.
Debbie Kaufman

Debbie was born in Lebanon, Ohio. She served in the Army from 1980 to 1984 as a Dental Specialist /Hygienist and in the Army Reserves from 1984 to 1990 where she was assigned to the 2288th Dental Detachment in Sharonville, Ohio. In 1990 she became a Retention NCO and was assigned to the 83rd ARCOM in Columbus, Ohio until 1991. She obtained her State Accreditation in 2011 as a Certified County Service Officer.
Rick Spencer

Rick was born in Hamilton, Ohio and was a resident of Mason, Ohio for thirty years before moving to Lebanon, Ohio. He was a member of the Ohio Army National Guard then enlisted in the Marine Corp in 1986. He has worked at Warren County for over 17 years, first in Building Services as an electrician and now at the Warren County Veterans Services office as a relief officer and has now been a Veteran Service Officer for over 5years.
Robert Richardson

Robby is 29 years old and served in the United States Army from August 2006 to August 2009. He was with the 1st Armor Division, 40th Engineer Battalion, Charlie Company - 2nd Platoon. He was deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2008 to 2009. He has worked with the Warren County Veterans Service Office for four years. First working with them as a client needing financial assistance and then came on board as a driver. Robby moved up from his position as a driver to the Financial Relief Officer and then again to Service Officer.

Timothy was born in Hudson, New York, and grew up in Dunkirk near Lake Erie. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the US Army and served with the 525th Ordance Company in Germany and the 10th Mountain Division.
He spent over six years working at the veterans office, progressing from driver to Relief Officer, and now Service Officer - a job he considers the most rewarding of his career.
