Warren County Veterans Services Header

Due to the Holiday falling on the 1st of January, 2020 the Warren County Veterans Service Commission will be cancelling their regularly scheduled meeting for that day. They will meet on Wednesday, January 15th, 2020 as scheduled, but that will be the only meeting the month of January. Thank you.

The phrase, "Everyone knows a Veteran” is true in every form of the word. They were the ones that took an oath and stood a watch. They were the ones who signed a blank check to the greatest Nation on earth. It could be your neighbor, your barber or your Aunt or Uncle. Veterans come in all shapes and sizes, from every walk of life. Once the job is complete and they are civilians once again, there is a debt the Nation still owes them.

Since the inception of the Veterans Service Office, at the conclusion of the Civil war, it has been our mission to take care of and look after our Brothers and Sisters in arms. At the Warren County Veterans Service Office, we are still standing watch. The debt is being paid.

We are here to help with filing claims to the VA for medical conditions that happened while serving or conditions that showed up as a result of service.
There are also a list of death benefits that are available to qualifying Spouses and dependants. Such as, burial allowances, headstones and grave markers. Also, in some circumstances there are continued education opportunities, as well as, compensation for 100% “SERVICE CONNECTED” Veterans dependants.
We also provide temporary, emergency financial relief. Proper verification is required.
Transportation is provided by our Transportation Department to and from medical appointments. We are unique in that we provide this service in house by our own Veteran drivers. Handicapped vans, as well as, standard vans are available.

Regular Meetings for the Board of Veterans Commissioners are held at 8:00 am
